The integration of Order Cloud into the Shift 4 Marketplace simplifies the menu management process and maintenance of online ordering pages, as most of the menu is controlled via the menu and schedule configuration in your Lighthouse merchant portal.
Nearly all elements of your menu and item setup will occur in Lighthouse and then syncronized to Order Cloud. Below are a list of the setup fields in Order Cloud and an explanation of how they interact with Lighthouse.
General Order Cloud Settings
Sales taxes are defined on the Location Home Tab in Order Cloud.
If a new Schedule is created in Lighthouse and needs to be included in an existing menu in Order Cloud, a new menu must be created. You cannot add a new schedule to an existing menu.
For menu syncs, updates need to be Published in Lighthouse for changes to be recognized in Order Cloud.
All Payments integrate into the POS as 'Open'.
Limitations

Menu Organization
Lighthouse / Shift4 is the system of record. Changes to the online ordering page should be made in Lighthouse and then sync'd to Order Cloud.
Menu Organization
Menus are imported and sync'd from Lighthouse.
When creating a new menu in Order Cloud, the option to import multiple Schedules from Lighthouse is available.
Schedules will import in the order displayed in the popup modal. If you wish to import multiple schedules in a certain order, they should be renamed in Lighthouse so they appear in the desired order.
Menu Sections
Menu Section sort order is imported from Lighthouse.
Menu Section names are imported from Lighthouse and will update with a menu sync.
If a Menu Section is hidden in Order Cloud, it will remain hidden after a menu sync.
ToGo does not support menu section descriptions.
Menu Items are ordered as they appear in Lighthouse and will update with a menu sync.
Item Details
Menu Item names update with a menu sync.
Alt Name are the same as the Item Name and update with a sync.
Price is the online price defined in Lighthouse.
Merchant Note: is user defined in Order Cloud and does not overwrite with a menu sync.
PLU: the Shift4 PLU
SKU: does not exist in Lighthouse. If defined by the user, it does not overwrite with a menu sync.
Active toggle: Items made inactive in Order Cloud but are active in Lighthouse will be made active again with a menu sync.
Menu Item Description - updates via Menu Sync. If the Menu Item Description is manually updated in Order Cloud and does not exist in Lighthouse, it is not overwritten via Menu Sync.
Image URL - Image links are imported and updated from Lighthouse. If there is a URL defined in Order Cloud but NOT in Lighthouse Menu Manager, the URL is NOT overwritten via Menu Sync.
Nutritional Information - field does not exist in Lighthouse. Nutritional information entered in Order Cloud is NOT overwritten via Menu Sync.
Menu Item Price is updated with a menu sync.
Daily item availability is imported and updated with a menu sync.
Min Quantity: Not in Lighthouse / Not overwritten with a sync.
Max Quantity: Not in Lighthouse / Not overwritten with a sync.
Prompt at Checkout: Not in Lighthouse / Not overwritten with a sync.
Requried at Checkout: Not in Lighthouse / Not overwritten with a sync.
Modifiers
Modifier Groups:
Sort order is global across all menu schedules.
ToGo does not support modifier group descriptions.

The SKU field cannot be populated in Order Cloud.
a. If a modifier is made Inactive, the only way to make it Active again is to manually make it Active in Order Cloud. Modifiers will be made Inactive via a menu sync but modifiers are not made Active via a menu sync.
