ToGo offers multiple Order Types that allow you to have flexibility. Select this link for an overview Order Type list

To Add an Order Type to your Order Entry Screen

  1. Login to OrderCloud and select the Location.

  2. Under the Location Home tab in the Order Type section select the Add+ and choose from the list of Order Types.

  3. Once an Order Type is added you must assign a Menu to that Order Type.

  4. Select the Menu and select the Menu Settings tab.

  5. Check the Order Type in the list to assign the menu.

Order Types will have most of the same information that will need to be input. Looking at the image below we will describe each field an its use.

Order Type Name - Select Order Type to Add

Standard Wait Time in Minutes - the amount of time you need to prepare the order, this will prompt customers to select the next available time according to current time + wait time.

Maximum Order Amount (Dollars) The maximum dollar amount that you want a customer to place an order - stops the customer from placing a very large order - this is optional

Large Order Wait Time in Minutes - Those larger orders may take longer to prepare, set this time to use in place of the Standard Wait Time for orders based on the amount set in the Large Order Threshold.

Large Order Threshold (Dollars) - The dollar amount of the Subtotal of an order that the Large Order Wait Time needs to be used.

Convenience Fee (Dollars) - Fee that is added to every order for the selected Order Type - for POS integrations check with your dealer if your POS system supports. NOTE: Using a Negative amount will reduce the customers order by this amount.

Surcharge (percentage) - Surcharge % charged on the Subtotal of an order that is added to every order for the selected Order Type - for POS integrations check with your dealer if your POS system supports. NOTE: Using a Negative amount will reduce the customers order by this amount.

Buttons and Choices in the image above:

Apply Convenience Fee Pre-Tax - choose based on your location tax rules

Apply Surcharge Pre-Tax - choose based on your location tax rules

Send to ToGo Printer Immediately - This is only referring to a ToGo specific printer and does not refer to a POS Printer if your store is integrated. Those settings for your POS will be found in the POS Configuration section under the Admin Tab of your Location.

Enable Curbside Pickup - This only shows under the Take Out Order Type. You can enable curbside pickup to use the same rules as the Take Out Order Type and it allows for customers to enter their vehicle information on checkout. Do not turn this on if you are using the separate Curbside Order Type.

Always Send Customer I'm Here Link - If you have an integration to Fresh KDS or use the ToGo Printer you can enable this link to include a link on the customers order confirmation for Take Out Orders. The customer can select this link when they arrive at the location to alert your store of their arrival either on FreshKDS or the ToGo Printer.

Allow Future-Day Ordering - This allows your customers to place orders for future days.

Send SMS When Printing

Allow Payments Type - this is a dropdown select the payment choices to give customers.

NOTE: If your store has a POS integration you may not be able to use the In-Store Payments. Check with your POS Dealer

Send to FreshKDS Cloud for merchants using FreshKDS

Unlisted - When this is active the Order Type will not appear on the Ordering Page. This would be used for example with Order From Table, where you may not want this showing on your ordering screen for your TakeOut customers. You can have the Dine In customers use the URL or a QR Code at the table.
