Why am I receiving double orders on my KDS with Square integration?

Square and KDS integrated locations may receive orders twice.

Square Register customers that have an integration with both FreshKDS and ToGo may experience online orders duplicating on their KDS screens. This occurs when ToGo and Square ‘Online Orders’ are both sending orders to FreshKDS. Turning printing off for ‘Online Orders’ will fix the issue. To stop duplicate tickets on the KDS:

  • Open the settings menu in Square

  • Select Hardware

  • Select Printers

  • Set Online Orders to OFF

This setting will need to be adjusted on every tablet running Square.
