Convenience Fees and Surcharges may be configured in Dinerware for use in Order Cloud.
Convenience Fee
Create an item in Dinerware as you normally would, assigning it to a Revenue Class and Item Group. You should also add it to a Screen Category so that it is on a menu in Dinerware.
If you plan to use multitple amounts (ie for delivery zone fees), you should leave the price blank and uncheck the box labeled "Item has a unique price. This item should be set to be non-taxed.
Once the item has been created, allow enough time for the TIM to update the menu export file and then sync the menu in Order Cloud. Once the new item(s) has been added to the database, open the item and copy the PLU that was imported.
This PLU will be used in the POS ID field in the Order Type setup screens or in the Delivery Zones setup. Make sure the "Open Item" setting is turned on.
Surcharge
Surcharges are set up in the same manner as Convenience Fees in order cloud, except "Item has a unique price" must be unchecked. The setup is the same as for a conveniece fee for the rest of the process.
